A MUSICAL LOOK AT TWELVE PATHS TO GOD

Although Jesus had hundreds -- perhaps thousands -- of disciples during His time on earth, He selected an elite twelve to become his apostles.  This number was significant in representing the twelve tribes of Israel, as well as serving other spiritual symbology.

Those chosen came from a variety of backgrounds, from doctors and tax collectors to humble fishermen.  Despite their sometimes unimpressive origins, Jesus knew their potential.  Each of these twelve personalities were divinely chosen because of the unique contribution and example they would provide to other believers.  Some had great faith, others needed proof.  Some served quietly, others clamored for Christ's approval.  One even sold his soul to the devil.  In the end, each apostle provides us with a unique and important history.

This collection of new songs represents the twelve aspects of worship symbolized by the Twelve.  My intention is to accurately portray the message of each of the faithful apostles by reflecting the personality and attribute they represent.  You will likely see yourself in many of them, and I hope the ancient wisdom of these stories will encourage you in your walk today.

"Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.  He appointed twelve -- designating them as apostles --  that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach."
